Frosted Artisan Bakery Opens in Downtown Jones
A new bakery has opened up in town, and residents are eating it up. If you haven’t tried the sweet treats at Sarah Aka’s new shop, Frosted, you are missing out. From specialty order cakes for your next celebration to daily lunch specials, Frosted features a beautiful display of goodies sure to satisfy.
Police Chief Robert Williams has been seen entering the store twice in the same day, finding a snack for himself and purchasing Sweet Prairie Home fudge as a gift for his wife. When asked about his multiple visits, the Chief said, “It was very tasty,” and noted that his favorite dish is the fruit parfait.
The Chief isn’t the only City representative who has enjoyed the bakery. When Mayor Ray Poland was asked if he had tried the bakery, his response was, “Of course I’ve tried it. It’s a fat-boy heaven! Excellent product, and I hope they have many years in business in Jones.”
Other residents are raving about their products too. Lisa Ramsey says, “I have had breakfast and lunches there and have not been disappointed yet.”
Frosted is located at 119 E. Main Street. Tuesday through Thursday, they offer a lunch special for under $9. Be sure to follow them on Facebook to receive notifications for their daily specials and discounts. Here is their current schedule for weekly lunch specials:
- Tuesday – Baked Potatoes
- Wednesday – Gyros
- Thursday – Nachos
We hope you enjoy this great addition to our town. On a different note, The Jones Journal staff are projecting membership increases for Fitness Unlimited and record level attendance at the 8th Annual Longhorn Stampede.
