Longhorns Open Up District Play On the Road Against Chandler

The Jones Longhorns (2-1) will take a quick trip up I-44 to Lincoln County to face the Lions of Chandler (1-2) on Friday September 27.  This is the first time the Longhorns have taken the field since their 42-7 victory over Pauls Valley on September 13.

Chandler is coming off a 39-7 victory over Mount Saint Mary.  The last time the Longhorns and Lions clashed, Jones walked away with a 39-0 victory in week 4 of 2018.

The Longhorns are averaging 39 points per game during the 2019 season.  The team will look to continue the trend of utilizing a quick-strike offence with a solid defense to get the first win of district play.

Head Coach Dave Martin has emphasized the need to improve each week.  This point is stressed even more on the road.  The team will be asked to be prepared for anything and adapt to any scenario.

The teams will take the field at 7:00.
