Few things are as satisfying as watching something you care about grow, and this Early Childhood Center is an exciting milestone in the growth of this district and community. When we built the high school, we were doing something that few, in particular small communities, were doing, and here we go again.
There are some very special people, organizations, and businesses that deserve a special thank you. The Jones Kiwanis Club has been an unmatched benefactor for our children for generations, and they were at the front of this project. If one is looking for a place to give back to their community, look no further than this organization. BancFirst, the Jones Drug Store, Jones Offroad, Madewell and Madewell and Jones Family Dentistry took a big chance on supporting this type of political campaign, but they did it without hesitation. All were instrumental in the overwhelming support and turnout at the polls. Finally, there is no way to thank all the individuals that worked so hard on this campaign. Maybe it’s because I’m such a sensitive guy, but seeing all the Facebook posts of people bragging about voting and supporting our cause was sincerely emotional.
We like to say, “It’s a GREAT DAY to be a LONGHORN”, but this is truly a great time to be a part of this community of JONES.
