Old Timer’s Day is an incredibly busy day in Jones, Oklahoma. There are a large selection of booths selling an assorted amount of products, contests such as donut eating, cutest pet, cutest boy and girl. There’s also a kiss the pig (which City Trustee Brian Heard won).

There is also hay bale throwing and finally the beloved wiener dog race. All leading up to the Old Timers Day Dance that night.
Mr. Fish continued his trend of winning the donut eating contest, as he’s won 8 years in a row now. Miss Daisy Mae Woods won this years wiener dog race as well. Miss Susan’s chocolate cake won the pie and cake judging competition, and Adam Angus came away the winner of hay bale throwing.

The Old Timer’s Parade marched through town at 4:00 pm. The live band started their set at 6:30 pm, well after all the contests had concluded and the booths packed up for the night. This was an event that was enjoyable for families and kids of all ages, with the wide range of contests, and booths that sold food. The Jones Drug Store and Jones Family Care sponsored free face painting through Matt’squerade Face Painting and Silly Lily Face Painting. Mr. Tony’s snow cone stand was there, as well as Jones Nutrition and multiple others places. The Jones Journal put up a photo booth where you could get a family photo or a picture with Larry the Longhorn.
