The Jones Longhorns moved to 4-0 in District Games as they defeated the Holdenville Wolverines 44-0. The Longhorns have moved up to a 6 in the state ranking and the boys don’t plan on stopping until they are ranked 1.

Holdenville kicked off to Jones to start off the first quarter. Within the first three minutes, QB Carson May threw a 30 yard pass to Wide Receiver Elijah Reed, scoring the first touchdown of the night. The Wolverines punted the ball to Jones, allowing the Longhorns to get the ball at the Holdenville 19-yard line. Carson May threw a 15 yard pass to RB Korbin Cox, gaining in another touchdown for the Longhorns. The Longhorns put up 27 points in the first quarter.

At the start of the second quarter, Elijah Reed scored a 5 yard rushing touchdown. The Longhorns defense held strong throughout the quarter and the Horns went into the locker room with a comfortable 34-0 lead.

Jones started off the third quarter with an interception by Foster Moore. Carson May then ran a 5-yard rushing touchdown just a few minutes into the third quarter. The only other scoring of the half came on a 4th quarter 30 yard field goal from kicker Zachary Knox.

The Longhorns have the chance to keep this winning streak going Thursday October 24 at home, when they play against Henryetta.
