The Christmas season upon us. With all of the shopping, decorating, baking and gathering, it’s always hard to squeeze in time for a favorite holiday tradition. Instead of rushing off to the mall this year for your pictures with Santa, keep it local and support your community.

The Jones Journal is partnering with the Jones Historic Society to bring you pictures with Santa. Photos will be taken December 14th from 9 am – 12 pm at the historic C.G. Jones House. Pictures will cost $20 for two 5×7 prints, and an additional $10 for a digital copy. All proceeds will benefit the Jones Historical Society.

If you are from the area, you know the Jones House well. Located on Hefner Road, this house was the homestead of Mr. C.G. Jones, statesmen and namesake for our town. This charming white farmhouse was built in 1906, and let me tell you, it is just as adorable inside as it is out. We will be using the beautiful (and original) craftsman style staircase as our photo backdrop.

The role of Santa will be played by Mr. Ron Mason, President of the Jones Historical Society. Mr. Mason often volunteers his time during the holidays to pose as Santa Claus at nursing homes, churches, and other events.
We hope that you will join us for this great opportunity to see an integral part of our town’s history and to help preserve these memories for future generations. A special thanks to the Brooks family for allowing us to use their beautiful home for your pictures.
