On Tuesday, the #2 Jones Longhorns took on the Tecumseh Lady Savages.
The Longhorns jumped out to a quick lead by the end of the first quarter, leading 15 to 2.
The Longhorns continued their dominance in the 2nd quarter, forcing tough shots and creating turnovers. Jones increased their lead going into halftime 28 to 10.
Tecumseh attempted to rally in the 3rd but to no avail, still trailing 23 to 45. Halfway into the quarter however, forward Trinity Moore picked up a technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Jones closed out the game strong, and began conference play with a solid win. The final score was 53-35.
The Longhorns travel Little Axe Friday for an 8:00 pm tip off.
