In a 3-1 decision of the Jones Board of Trustees, the 2020 Jones Old Timer’s Day celebration has been cancelled. School administration stated that the children’s choir performances would be unlikely this year. This is considered the biggest draw for the annual event. Concerns of Covid-19 and limited funding pushed the board to make this decision. Linda Harcum, the committee chairman, made the recommendation to cancel the 2020 event.
