The Jones Middle and High School Cross County teams competed at the Stroud XC Invitational on Saturday October 10, 2020.

Eighth Grader Skylar Anderson finished 8th place in the Girls Junior High 2 Mile run with a time of 15:35.23. The Longhorn Junior High Boys team finished 4th overall in the Junior High 2 Mile Run. Eighth Grader Jiar Quinonez finished sixth with a time of 13:31.25 and Seventh Grader William Jefferies finished eighth with a time of 13:33.92.

Two Longhorns competed in the Varsity Girls 2 Mile Run. Senior Layna Solorzano finished in 18:06.79 and Freshaman Jaden Bowels clocked in at 22:46.19. In the Varsity Boys 5K Freshman Joseph Walker finished in 19:36.09 and Freshman Ripkin Wallace clocked in at 22:09.72.

In addition to the 4th place finish for the Junior High Boys, the top four runners from Saturday (Jiar Quinonez, William Jefferies, Caymon Ashbey and Berto Medicinebirdbusby) qualified for the 27th Annual “All Star” Junior High Championships in Chickasha on Thursday October 15, 2020.
