In the midst of heavy rainfall this week, OKC Crews have continued their work repairing the sinkhole on Britton Road. The final stage of concrete pouring happened on Tuesday afternoon. Weather permitting, OKC officials are anticipating that the road will be ready to reopen by Friday, May 21st.
In other news, OKC crews have also been busy patching potholes that were reported along Britton Road, East of the sinkhole repairs. Post Road also received numerous patches, as many old potholes reopened during the recent rains and increased traffic from the sinkhole detour route.

Oklahoma City surrounds the community of Jones on three sides, so there is a good chance you are driving on one of their roads as you are entering or leaving town. As always, if you see any road damage on OKC streets, please report it to the City’s Action Center. You can visit theirĀ website, call to report a concern (405-297-3334), or download the OKC Connect app. I also recommend contacting the Ward 7 Councilwoman Nikki Nice, to request that Britton Road East of Post be considered on the next bond project for street resurfacing.
