With the recent passing of beloved school board member, Dan Stillwell, the Jones School Board will appoint a replacement at next week’s meeting. Currently, the Board has stated there are five candidates interested in the position.
The current board members will review the applications and select the top three candidates over the weekend. These top candidates will be interviewed at the School Board Meeting next week, October 11th, at 5:30 pm.
The Jones School Board is made up of five members who each serve a five-year term. Mr. Stillwell was over halfway through his term before his passing, so his replacement will finish out the remaining two years of his seat, through 2024. The current Jones School Board is made up of the following members:
- Brett Ramsey – President (2021 – 2026)
- Scott Smith – Vice President (2017 – 2022)
- Matt Gindhart – Clerk (2018 – 2023)
- Shree Young – Member (2020 – 2025)
