Hometown Christmas (RESCHEDULED)

*****PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT WAS RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, DECEMBER 5TH!!!****

The Jones Kiwanis Club is hosting a Hometown Christmas celebration on Sunday, December 5th. Starting at 6 pm, there will be a lighted Christmas parade, that starts at Jones High School and ends at Beatty Mulhausen Park on the East end of town. At 7 pm, the annual Christmas tree lighting will happen at the park. There will be donuts, hot chocolate, and a wonderful hometown celebration to usher in the Christmas season.

We will have representatives from the Jones Ministerial Alliance available to distribute angels for the Angel Tree program. Elementary students from FBC Jones will perform a few of their songs for their upcoming Christmas program. Jason Loyd from Little Bit Western Lawn Care will unveil his handcrafted life-size nativity scene for our park. There are also rumors that a special visitor will be coming from the North Pole.

Last year, the Kiwanis Club hosted the inaugural Tree Lighting Celebration, but unfortunately, that tree was lost in the 2021 winter freeze. The Kiwanis Club donated $500 to plant a new tree, and Little Bit Western donated the labor to replant it.

Those who are interested in entering in the parade, can fill out this form. The BRIGHTER the BETTER! Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the parade. Winners will be announced at the Tree Lighting Celebration.

  • 1st Place – Blue & Gold Prize Pack & $50 Amazon Gift Card
  • 2nd Place – $25 Amazon Gift Card
  • 3rd Place – $10 Starbucks Gift Card

We hope to see you all at the park for our Hometown Christmas Celebration!!!
