For the third consecutive year, the Jones Longhorns Girls Basketball team will play for the Gold Ball after the Longhorns took down the #2 Bethel Lady Wildcats 65-54 in the 3A State Semifinals. Boston Berry led the way for the Longhorns with a masterful 28 point performance. Sofi Woodson had 12 while Kasia Hansen finished with 11 points in the victory. The win not only kept Head Coach Jenni Holbrook undefeated at the State Tournament, but the victory avenged a 44-41 loss to the Wildcats on February 13.
The only thing standing between the Longhorns and a three-peat is the #1 Washington Warriors, who beat Keifer 46-43 in the other semifinal matchup.
Jones vs Washington will tip-off at 5:00 at the State Fair arena on Saturday March 11, 2023.
